Dr. Asim Bashir is a Lecturer and Assessment Coordinator at the University of Birmingham Dubai. He holds a Doctorate in Education and has over twenty years of experience in higher education, specialising in academic literacy, assessment design, and faculty development. His research focuses on Generative AI adoption in higher education, HE pedagogy, and digital literacy. Dr. Bashir is an Advance HE Senior Fellow and assessor, actively contributing to mentoring and professional recognition initiatives across the Gulf region. He has presented and published widely on AI in education, academic integrity, and inclusive assessment design.
